Question Everything, We Can Do Better. Make Informed Decisions. Your Vote Matters.

lyrics

To all the bastards who are waiting on a government cheque,
getting money for keeping quiet, i guess you can blame the 30%.
The blissfully ignorant who want change but not on their own time
because in this country it’s either get rich or get lost, to be worth a dime.

It’s been almost ten years and look what you’ve done,
the nation is scared and the moneys all gone.
You try to hide your lies behind jargon and speech,
but the terrorists aren’t coming and there's still hungry to feed.
I’m not saying I know whats best,
I’m just saying we could do better than this.
This is class war and it’s getting pretty old.

Now we talk about guns like they don’t kill men,
who will go home to their families and tell them how much he loves them.
But that’s not what we see on our t.v.’s, we see national threats not martyrs,
we can find the blood on the hands of ones that we elected to lead us.

Now as a nation we hold our tongues,
afraid to speak out on pollution that we’re breathing into our lungs.
So now I’m a terrorist in the sense that I can’t breath,
and that I wont sit idly by while you do this shit to me.
So throw me in jail, and give me a name.
Say its for national security and everybody's sake.
Cos its your constitutional freedom to speak my mind,
and you’re free to do that son as long as you don’t step out of line

If you throw away our freedoms, Just to hold onto peace of mind
Then you’re giving them what they want and leaving us all behind.

Because this isn’t a police state, no we live in provinces.
This country was built on freedom not broken promises.
So don’t sell us to the highest bid or you deserve everything you get.
This isn’t a democracy not a fascist nation.

about

Major/Minor Ontario

Major/Minor- Acoustic Punk Rock from London ON. Incredibly honest, unnecessarily awkward and nervously funny. Stealing the best parts of other people's songs since late 2013.
